I first met Mony and Edo quite some time ago, when they were working on their first home together.

They were a young couple. It was the 1990s.

She was a beautiful woman—captivating and light as air.

He was impossible in the best possible way: always ready with a joke, perhaps a little too ready, and endowed with endless charm and savoir-faire.

We were late every time we met.

I look back with great affection on the time we spent together, even those seemingly endless evenings that stretched well past eight o’clock, when the conversation would come to a standstill over a single detail that meant very little to Edo but was absolutely essential to Mony. Of course, the reverse happened too—especially when the subject turned to matters of great importance, such as the colour of the loudspeakers or the profile of the hi-fi cabinet top, which, incidentally, was redesigned a couple of times… perhaps even more.

This is their third home together.
