What’s inside a wardrobe?

I’m not talking about what it holds, but about the materials used to build it.

Eliminating chipboard or MDF from furniture production is neither realistic nor sensible. Manufacturers need materials that are stable, resistant to warping, and capable of delivering long-term functionality and durability.

What can be eliminated, however, is the use of polluting materials. We can reduce environmental impact, help prevent deforestation, and minimize the presence of formaldehyde.

We do this by carefully monitoring our entire supply chain and sourcing raw materials only from companies that can provide recognized certifications such as FSC and PEFC, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility.

The choice of material depends on the production process and the function of each individual component—not simply on price. Sometimes MDF is the right solution; other times chipboard is the better choice. Do not make the mistake of assuming that chipboard means poor quality. There are many different types of chipboard, and quality must be evaluated in the panel itself, whether MDF or chipboard, in the adhesives used, and in the mechanical components.
